Sonya White with Janet Kane

Sonya White
Originally from Virginia, her southern charm combined with big city street smarts created a show that won her multiple appearances on CBS’ “Star Search” and a promo spot on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing 4.”

Her observational comedy is enhanced by dead-on impersonations and appropriate sound effects.  Other TV credits include Oxygen’s “Girls Behaving Badly”, a colorful character on “The Jerry Springer Show”, and a cartoon impression for Cartoon Network’s “Pick Your Shorts”.

Join us as Sonya share her real-life experiences and her fond-but-irreverent interactions with friends, family, and the world at large.

Janet Kane
The official “Stand- Up Comic” from a family inspired by Dad’s sense of humor, Mom’s imagination and 8 kids vying for attention.

This maven of mischief learned early on that her silly antics and funny repartee would earn her acceptance, applause, and laughter.   Janet’s ability to slip into “smarty pants” makes her the perfect icebreaker at a party or any comedy event.  Her jokes spin off the challenges of everyday life, friends, family and the corporate workplace.  Janet delivers her material like everyday was “Casual Friday.”

Janet has performed at comedy clubs, one nighters, and private venues throughout the country.  She loves to meet knew people; so don’t miss this comedy concierge!

Your host Rob Haswell

Rob is an award winning broadcaster and actor and has been a part of many broadcast, theatrical and film projects. Starting in radio while still in high school, Rob quickly discovered he had a talent for the medium and went on to become one of the main on-air talents at major radio stations across Canada.

Next he made the jump to television where he was part of the flagship program "Good Morning Toronto" on Canada's Weather Network.  From there he made the jump to the U.S. where he went to work for CBS and most recently FOX as the morning meteorologist.

Along the way, Rob also tried his hand at acting, landing roles in several national commercial campaigns as well as some film projects.

Rob also had a career as a comedian appearing in clubs across Canada and the United States and making appearances on a few television shows.

We are thrilled to have him as our host of “Chicken Comedy” events.

January 11, 1959, I met my husband at Weiler’s Log Cabin Ballroom. He was out with his boyfriend an I was out with my girlfriend. We celebrated our 47th Wedding Anniversary this past June 24th. Now my husband and I are enjoying the Dinner Theater, and also the Great Chicken Comedies. It would be nice if we are both here in 2011 to celebrate our 50th here at Memories. Thank you for the Great Memories! Gene & Judy P.
